Welcome

Welcome Spring!

Spring has arrived here in Indiana. Or at least she’s flirting with us. The yard is more mud than ice. The snow drops are up, the seedlings are started, and I’m in the studio making bugs and flowers in tapestries because I simply can’t wait for them to come of their own accord. The dogs are wanting to run outside but they dont really like the mud. There is so much insperation outthere waiting for us to find it. I hope that you all are having a great spring!

Would you like to see where I am going? Come check out the schedule and see what classes I'm offering. I hope that I will be coming to your area. If I am not and you'd like me to come to your group, please contact Melida to set that up. I'm looking forward to seeing you in class!

Creativity Workshop:

As a gift to the wonderful quilters I work with, I’m offering a free online workshop for creativity. Come join us to share some in the adventure!

New CD!

To celebrate the Show in Golden, I've created a new body of work CD called The Enchanted Forest, that showcases over 150 tapestries. It has a section on my development as an artist, a how to section for embroidered appliqué, bobbin work, machine beading, couching, and free motion appliqué, and a gallery showcase. It can be used with Windows to create a screen saver for your PC.

New quilts!

I’ve been working on a series of small bug quilts that are, if you’ll excuse the expression, cute as a bug. Come see these new darling little pieces that will fit anywhere and fill a room with color.
Please check out my new quilts !

Trade up Extension

To celebrate the new web site, we'll extend any purchase trade up from 2006 to June of 2008

As I usually give you 6 months trade up rights on any quilt you purchase. I do this because I know a quilt purchase is almost like an adoption. I want you to have the right quilt. So if you see a quilt you wish you'd bought, I let you trade it up. If you've bought it at a class, we apply classroom prices.

Please email Ellen if you would like trade up.

Trinity Church Piecemakers:

Ellen runs a once a month charity quilt project at Trinity Church in Michigan City, IN. Third Saturday of each month from 10:00 AM-3:PM at the church rectory at 600 Franklin . Square starting June 21st. All are welcome to join in. We make quilts for shut in and newborns.
This is not Thread Magic. It’s really quilt in a day. But it is the best of what I’ve learned from quilters. Nothing tells someone in pain, trouble or transition, “I love you” quite like wrapping them in a quilt.
So with that in mind, we take one Saturday and make someone a quilt. All skill levels are welcome. If you don’t know how, we’ll show you. Children are welcome but will be put to work.
Call Trinity Church at 219-874 -4355 for information
Or contact Ellen at 219-921-0885
